
Your third consideration should be the number of stools you need. Generally, three stools can accommodate the 6 feet counter and 4 bar stools can accommodate 8 foot counter. 4th consideration: When it comes to choosing a metal or wood bar stool, metal is better than wood as it is less prone to constant outward stress on the arms which further leads to loose feel. Stretchers and legs can loosen out over the time that might make the stool potentially dangerous. 5th consideration: Metal and wood bar stools are available in many finishes. Look for a baked on or powdered finish as it is more resistant to scratch and chip.
