Kitty and Lala are Chinese photographers and bloggers introducing playful, modern angles into fuddy-duddy Chinese wedding photos. Now they’re part of Intel’s global campaign to promo its new-gen Core 2 CPUs.
Intel’s officially unveiling the Kitty & Lala promotion later this week, its second in a series of “blogger profile films” it’s had produced by Amsterdam Worldwide, an international marketing agency. The film is part of Intel’s Visual Life effort to push the second generation of Intel Core 2 CPUs, which are powering new computers from a host of makers, including Apple (as we get to see around five minutes into the short film).

Memorial Day is great time of the year to honor soldiers and their sacrifices. This day is reserved to give special thanks to men and women who gave their lives while fighting for our country. There are parades, celebrations, and memorials all over United States to honor those brave soldiers. However, Memorial Day is not just for remembering war veterans, make sure to remember those in your life who have already passed on, by visiting their graves and lighting a candle. New home sales numbers released Tuesday by the United States Census Bureau showed an uptick of activity in April, beating most analyst estimates, which expected sales to remain flat from March. The 7.3 percent rise in single-family home sales in April marks the second straight month of increases, following March’s 8.3 percent rise from February’s dismal showing.

Did you know that 11 million tons of shingle waste is generated each year?
According to GAF, the typical roof contains about 30-35 squares. This breaks down to 7,000 lbs of materials, or 3.5 tons. Most roofing companies let this sit in a land fill. Your roof could be taking up 5 cubic yards of space, which is the equivalent of a more than one family’s yearly trash!
Moonworks, however, is a GAF certified green roofer. What does this mean? Instead of your roof sitting in a landfill, the asphalt roofing shingles will be recycled into pavement for roadways. So, how much road can your roof pave? According to GAF, the average roof described above could pave 53 feet of road! What a great example of how each green decision you make can greatly impact the environment.
How does the recycling program work?
Your old roof will be removed and the asphalt shingles will be separated from the rest of the roofing materials (metal, wood, etc.). The asphalt shingles will then be picked up at your home and brought to the recycling center. Once at the center, the shingles are grounded into particles for paving material.
